April Ford is a leading creative advertising agency on the Sunshine Coast. We manage a national portfolio of clients across sectors including FMCG, professional services, fashion, allied health, property development and more.

We are a team of 20+ professionals and we share an open plan office in Maroochydore with plenty of perks besides great teamwork and clients - ocean views, sparkling water on tap, ping pong table, a vibrant workspace with natural light, breezy balcony, a cafe and more in our CBD building (all the cliches a good agency should have).

Graphic Designer

Due to our continued growth, our advertising and content team need another Graphic Designer to join them. If you've got solid design skills and love digital advertising and creative social media content then this position is for you. 

Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years' commercial design experience with at least 1 of those years in an agency. You must be competent with both digital and traditional media design; although the role is predominantly focused on our design for social media content and advertising.

As a Graphic Designer at April Ford you'll work on a variety of projects. Whilst there's some fun stuff like designing and creative Facebook ads and YouTube videos, then there's also the not so glamours 45-page capability statements. You'll need to be able to take the good with the bad all whilst maintaining the same high level of enthusiasm and creativity irrespective of the job. 

Whilst we have a Creative Director and Art Director, there are no big egos in this building. Your creative input is both respected and expected. The Content and Advertising Account Managers and Production Manager will keep the clients at bay so you can focus on designing and delivering incredible work.

Delivering creative outcomes within the confines of a client brief is a must. You must be comfortable with the high paced nature of agency work, including hitting unmovable deadlines, working as part of a team, and be able to take constructive feedback.

You will need to have completed a University degree and are extremely experienced in Adobe Creative Suite. AF is a very process-orientated agency. Checklists, deadlines and task completion are the foundations of our agency.

Although it sounds small, you'll need to be comfortable and confident answering the phone, meeting with clients, unpacking the dishwasher and receiving constructive feedback. Not even the Director gets out of unpacking the dishwasher. If you're capable of all this and more then we need to speak.

Account Executive

Love a good campaign rollout? Live for growth in conversions and ROAS? Can keep a team on a deadline? If you answered yes to all three, this Account Executive position is for you.

Working directly with a variety of e-commerce and lead generation focused clients, this role is the link between the client and our in-house creative and digital specialists. 

Our Account Executives take our clients project needs, build out their strategies, report on the execution of each department and offers recommendations and advice to the client on an ongoing basis. This role may also provide simple marketing duties like minor website updates, and sending EDMs from software like Hubspot or Mailchimp if required.

The right candidate will not be afraid of numbers, especially when diving deep into the why, and know marketing inside out. 

Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years experience in agency or marketing management specifically in industries related to lead generation and/or e-commerce and will hold a relevant and completed university degree.

Applicants for the position must:

  1. Be super organised, professional, process-driven and an excellent communicator.
  2. Be competent and comfortable with technology. We use Apple in-house, and use 20+ software to run the agency.
  3. Enjoy working with a high performing team, in an open office, across multiple areas of the business.
  4. Be willing to help complete tasks for others if required due to deadlines or project needs.
  5. Be comfortable with a fluid and dynamic work environment.
  6. Have a general interest in pop culture and what is going on in the world. Curiosity for how things work, why they happen and general pop-culture is a must.
  7. Not be afraid to answer the phone when it rings.
  8. Have a minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute, current driver's license and car (work cars are available).
